Athena is a female pitbull who had one litter of puppies before landing at Animal Control where she?s been for the last several months. She?s now spayed and current on vaccinations. This photo was taken during her final days at the shelter. Athena is wonderful with people, very wiggly and friendly. She tries to contain her joy upon meeting new human friends, but still gives big kisses when someone squats down to pet her. Athena is selectively aggressive with dominant dogs, so may do best as an only child, although under the guidance of someone with pitbull experience, she has the potential to learn new social skills.
