Athena is a female pitbull who had one litter of puppies before landing at Animal Control where she stayed for several months. She?s now spayed and current on vaccinations. This photo was taken during her final days at the shelter before she moved to a rescue in the Polson area. Athena is wonderful with people, very wiggly and friendly. She tries to contain her joy upon meeting new human friends, but still gives big kisses when someone squats down to pet her. Athena was selectively aggressive with dominant dogs at the shelter, so may do best as an only child, but in her new foster setting under the guidance of someone with pitbull experience, she has done very well with non-dominant dogs.
